Well hi guys! How are we doing this week? It’s Monday and we’re back to schedule with Outfits of the Week. I didn’t post last week’s because I was mainly dealing with being off my medication for a week. Which basically meant I was high as fuck and couldn’t function properly. Hooray! But still, let’s get straight into the pinup casual outfits, right?
Are you laughing? Because I know I am! A few weeks back I went and ticked off a place I’ve wanted to see for a while off the list. I’m constantly trying to find interesting and free places to experience in London, and The Horniman Museum has been top of the list for a while. And why not throw some plus size 60s style in there too, right?
Hey friends! Hope we’re all doing well? I’ve managed to wind myself up these last few days and have developed the most almighty eye twitch. The joys of a stress person who accidentally is off their meds, right? But luckily I managed to drag The Boyfriend® out into town one day this week to have a bit of a date! So this happens to be a day late because frankly I spent the weekend asleep and forgot to do it. Oooops. But today we’ve got a special version of the weekly outfit roundup — because it’s all about the Vendula London Charms! I was challenged to wear the same bag with every outfit this week, with one difference, that each outfit had a different charm set!
Now, you may be wondering what Vendula London Charm is? Well, it’s pretty simple, actually. The whole idea is a plain bag that you can add separate charm sets and mix and match together to create your own sort of style!
Welcome to Saturday, I hope all’s well with you guys? It’s been so long since I put together a style post that I’ve sort of forgotten how to write one. Yay! But I’m back to glorify obesity by asking the question, ‘Can A Plus Size Wear a Fitted Skirt?’ The answer is pretty obvious — yes!
We all know how it goes, since it’s the same thing every year. Christmas is over, the decorations come down, the cheese gets finished and life is back to normal after a holiday break. And it’s not easy getting back into the swing of things at all. The world is burning around us (literally, as the Australian bushfires are killing entire species), your feeds are full of diet franchises and ‘skinny tea’ adverts and the credit card bill you took a hit on has come back to bite you in the arse. So here’s some ways to beat the January blues that I’m doing to keep myself happy and healthy.
It’s Monday, and we’re not quite at the end of January yet, which is a bummer, honestly. I’m having a little struggle at the moment, that’s for sure! So for today the weekly outfit roundup is mostly some casual pin up style, with some straight up casual added in!
I don’t know about you guys, but I’m absolutely exhausted after this week — I ended up working an extra day, doing some socials and generally being busy. But what that does mean is a full week’s worth of plus size fashion for you!
Hasn’t it been a hot minute since you last saw me on your feed? I got a bit sad at the end of the year, but I’ve bounced back a bit and I’m feeling ready to come back to blogging! So you’re stuck with me again, friends, haha! Getting straight back into the swing of things with some fat style through the last week.
Happy Saturday! Hope your week has gone well. I’ve actually been off on ‘holiday’ all week. And for the first time in a long, long time — I’ve done basically nothing at all. It’s been wonderful for my mind, for my body and for my skin. I even managed to surprise my mum with a visit on her birthday, which was awesome. So I’m making up for the fact I have nothing new to post about by showing off some Snapshots of Osaka!
So as I mentioned in my last post, I was away for two weeks in two parts of Japan. The first, as in the first post, was Fukuoka and the little British Fair there. The second half was Osaka — and boy, it was an upgrade!
Of course, I spent mostly all my time inside the department stall on our stand, basically getting to look pretty and smile at people. But I’m not exactly pissed — the Umeda Hankyu store was gorgeous! And the set dressing of the British Fair in particular was insanely good!

Now as you know, I love ancient Japanese history and architecture. I adore the old parts of Japan, even more so than the new parts. Sadly I didn’t see as much of old Osaka as I did in Fukuoka, but I didn’t miss out on glimpses of it around the city. It ended up that I only saw one shrine whilst I was there, which is pretty low in my shrine-visits.
However, I did get to see the Osaka Castle! I remember seeing pictures of it growing up and thinking it was one of the most beautiful buildings I’d ever seen. It certainly was a gorgeous building, and although I didn’t go inside (frankly, the line was too long and I was too hungover to wait in the rain), I enjoyed seeing it with my own eyes.
But don’t get me wrong, there’s also the newer parts that I loved! As soon as I got an evening free, I went downtown to Dotonbori to see all the insane lights and great signages on the restaurants and shops down there.
It’s pretty busy, being the main tourist attraction of the city (so many white people). But it was still nice to see — even if the Don Quixote gave me anxiety.
And of course — Osaka’s famous Glico man. When I was younger, I used to read JRock musician’s blogs, and whenever there was a tour date in Osaka, they did the Glico Man pose. Soooo I had to get that out of the way, right? Weirdly, a bucket list item ticked off there.
I really loved Osaka, and I’m so sad that I didn’t get as much time to spend exploring all the amazing restaurants and sights. Although, to be fair, I saw a fair few bars there in the evenings after work!
