It’s… still May, I suppose?

Morning, friends! Hope everyone is doing well? Life is straight up kicking my arse at the moment, but I suppose it’s doing that for most people right now. England, for some wonderful reason, has decided to be the literal worst weather-wise. One second the sun is beating down on you, the next second is torrential rain. I think it may have snowed at some point too. It’s literally ridiculous at the moment, and really isn’t helping my brain function correctly. However, I’m still using Me Made May as an excuse to wear actual clothes, so here’s some handmade outfits of the week for you!

Outfits of the Week — Me Made May Style

Tuesday is the new Monday, clearly. Happy Tuesday!

The plan for weekly outfit posts was originally to be done on Mondays. So, do I always stick to that? Nah. That would be organised of me. So hi and happy Tuesday, friends! How are you all doing? Life’s difficult, getting out of bed is difficult, etcetera. And so we carry on. I’m still working from home mostly, which helps with my tiredness and general disorganisation at the moment. But it’s also really easy to spend all day in pyjamas. I’m really happy that I’m consciously choosing to wear more of my handmade items at the moment. Especially since it saves me from my daily conundrum of bothering to get dressed or not. And so here’s some Me Made May Style for you this week!

What do you wear when you mostly can’t be bothered?

Okay. So. Firstly, the world very slightly feels like it’s burning at the moment. If you’re lucky enough to live in ignorance, it’s safe to say that the UK’s taken the ‘week of women’ to shit on itself a little bit. This instagram post sums it up nicely, because I’m too exhausted about it to sum it up myself. It’s been a lot, it’s taken a lot out of me through anger and exasperation and I’ve not been feeling much ‘myself’ to dress up. However, I do have some lazy girl style for you today! Because dressing up can heal, as much as that sounds shallow!

Working nine to five… what a long time in front of a laptop?

Hey there, friends! Hope we’re all doing well out in that madness we call a world? It’s coming up to a year of the pandemic, and we’ve all lost our inspiration for life, right? Just me, maybe? To be honest with you, I don’t know whether I’m coming or going these days. And since starting to work from home in January, it’s only seemed to get worse. However, I’ve had enough of that! I’m forcing myself into a better routine in the mornings, which includes actually getting dressed. No more attending sudden Zoom calls in my pyjamas, it’s all about WFH Style now!

Well hello friends and welcome back to Monday!

Hope we’re all doing well at the moment? I’m slowly crawling out of some depression and pain cycle at the moment with the help of medication and therapy. Hence lack of posts. However, I’m working on changing that with some new processes in place, so hooray! For now, onto some plus size Me Made May style from the first week!

If you saw my post last week about my Me Made May pledge, you’ll know that I’m wearing everything from my sewing wardrobe throughout May. It’s straight up an excuse to get dressed at the moment. OOTW – Six Ways To Wear A Band Tee

You made it another week, congrats!

I feel like minutes are meshing into weeks at the moment, and not all of them are good. But instead of dwelling, I’m trying something different this week with six ways to wear a band tee! Six different band shirts, size different ways to style them. Simple!

If you’ve ever been an emo kid, or alternative in any sense, you’ll probably treasure your collection of band tees like I do. Each one is from a show I’ve enjoyed, each one has a lot of history in them. They’ve been cut up, sewn back together and had numerous amounts of beer down them. A Week In Outfits — It’s Fatshion!

When I was younger, the word ‘fat’ held a lot of negative feelings to me. The phrase ‘plus size’ hadn’t really been coined, and although I use it so regularly, I’ve never felt a real connection to the phrase. Then Fatshion came along, and I knew it was the right sort of phrase. It didn’t sugar coat anything, it said simply this; I’m fat and I’m fashionable. Simplicity at its greatest, right? I need to use it more in my life, frankly! So today’s outfits of the week is just simply fatshion; a fat woman showing off what she wore.
