Well hello friends, on this fine day of it absolutely pissing it down! Hope you’re all well and yet another storm isn’t ruining your day/weekend at all. I’m trying to look at the sunnier side of life at the moment, so let’s get colourful with this plus size 60s style!

Basically the last two weeks are a straight up write off. I’m feeling less than ideal mentally and physically, my skin hates me and I’m particularly bloaty. Doesn’t help that the weather is miserable in the UK at the moment, and it feels like spring will never arrive in more ways than one. Things have been a bit cloudy in general, to be fair.

But I suppose the best thing about cloudy weather and cloudy brain is that eventually it will part, the sun will shine through and the world will feel a bit easier to deal with. Maybe not today, but someday it’ll fall back into place.
I’m lucky that I have some great people to lean on in tough times. And there’s always an impromptu wine and music night with friends that will happen to make you appreciate what life has to offer. There’s also clothes, which sounds really shallow, but for me always brings me a lot of joy.

Plus Size 60’s Style Dress
I’ve posted this SHEIN plus size 60’s style dress in my Outfits of the Week posts over the last few weeks, and you’ll notice I’ve been wearing it a lot. Although I’ve never worn this a-line style shift dress before, it’s easily becoming my favourite dress. With a cloudy mind comes a lack of interest in wanting to dress up — but this is the perfect antidote. It’s the sort of style that you can throw on and look great in no matter your mood. I seriously need more of them!

This dress also leans itself to a lot of playful combinations — especially when it comes to tights. I’ve worn it with a few different pairs of Snags in different colours, and they all look great. My favourite, of course, is the red for an injection of bright contrast! I even dug out an old favourite Vendula London bag to work with it. Goes to show how well black, white and red looks together!
So guys, I wish you all the best at the moment. Keep safe, keep sane — and always remember that the sun will shine again, no matter how cloudy it is at the moment.
