Working nine to five… what a long time in front of a laptop?
Hey there, friends! Hope we’re all doing well out in that madness we call a world? It’s coming up to a year of the pandemic, and we’ve all lost our inspiration for life, right? Just me, maybe? To be honest with you, I don’t know whether I’m coming or going these days. And since starting to work from home in January, it’s only seemed to get worse. However, I’ve had enough of that! I’m forcing myself into a better routine in the mornings, which includes actually getting dressed. No more attending sudden Zoom calls in my pyjamas, it’s all about WFH Style now!

So, when I say that I’ve been on Zoom wearing pyjamas; I really mean it. The fatigue I’ve been feeling since January has been quite unreal. And the idea of getting dressed every day has been exhausting. I’ve been living my best t-shirt dress life for the most part. However, spring is on the horizon, and I’m feeling so much better suddenly! The plan is from now on to get my morning routine set in stone, and hopefully force myself into being a bit happier permanently. We’ll see how it goes, because, y’know, depression. I’m sure by now everyone has a much better idea of daily depression thanks to the pandemic.

WFH Style
As much as most people are counting down the days until June 21st, (The day our government believes we will be ‘back to normal’) personally I’m just taking each week as it comes. My job is changing due to the pandemic, and I genuinely am enjoying it; I’d just like to have more reasons to leave the house on a daily basis, honestly. Although there’s been some spring in the air — it’s still too cold to want to be outside for any length of time. Spending 24/7 in the same four walls is fucking difficult. Ideally I’d love to spend evenings and weekends putting together amazing sewing and craft projects and having long walks with my other half. But that Lockdown Depression really kills the spirit.

But still. This is me trying, I suppose. So every other week I’m bringing back my daily style posts with a WFH Style with you guys — because I like showing off what I wear, firstly. And secondly, it gives me a great reason to actually be bothered to wear clothes. And who said blogging wasn’t useful to anyone?
What’s your WFH Style like?
