What do you wear when you mostly can’t be bothered?
Okay. So. Firstly, the world very slightly feels like it’s burning at the moment. If you’re lucky enough to live in ignorance, it’s safe to say that the UK’s taken the ‘week of women’ to shit on itself a little bit. This instagram post sums it up nicely, because I’m too exhausted about it to sum it up myself. It’s been a lot, it’s taken a lot out of me through anger and exasperation and I’ve not been feeling much ‘myself’ to dress up. However, I do have some lazy girl style for you today! Because dressing up can heal, as much as that sounds shallow!

Cardigan; Old Collectif
Dress; Handmade
Necklace; Vintage
Not so much lazy girl in this style, admittedly! We started the week strong, as I had to film some video for a project at work. The lockdown weight gain is a real struggle these days, as most of my ‘nice’ clothes are a bit too snug now. This dress actually fits me a bit better than it used to, though! Small wins, and all.

Top; Alexisonfire
Cardigan; Old Collectif
Skirt; SHEIN
Ohhh, that face. I look positively done, don’t I? Talk about real life on the blog! I happened to get a parcel from SHEIN this day with this skirt in, therefore it called for an instant try-on. Can’t say I’m enamoured with it, honestly, but it does a good job of being clothes, I suppose.

Blanket Scarf; Boohoo
Top; Old Primark
Skirt; SHEIN
In addition to the general world-burning, my sleep pattern is atrocious. I am one sleepy boy recently! Can you tell? It’s funny that I started uploading daily style on the blog to push myself into dressing less lazily, and here I am just showing the world how boring I really dress these days! Although the fact I’m wearing belts regularly is pretty good, to be honest.

Turban; Alice Brown’s Cupboard
Jumper; Hell Bunny
Skirt; Handmade
Lastly, Thursdays are Zoom meeting days. Can you tell the difference between these images? Hahaha! It’s funny the improvement in my mood when I get to wear makeup. Did you know that occupational therapists often use ‘Look good, feel good’ in their treatment for women in hospitals? I’ve never appreciated the idea of dressing up more than I have in the last year.
What’s your lazy girl style like?
In conclusion, the world is still a mess. But hey, I can dress nice sometimes and take my mind off it, I guess? What do you guys think?
