Coronavirus. It’s literally everywhere at the moment, isn’t it? The world is scared, constantly anxious and no one wants to touch each other — which to be honest, is really good when you live in London. But the fallout is being felt on the streets here at the moment. It’s a scary time for everyone, but one of the scariest things to consider is small businesses, especially those with physical stores. So today I’m going to spotlight some great small businesses from around the world, and if you can support small businesses right now, it’s literally the most important thing you could do.
Vendula London

Cat Cafe Grab Bag | Seaside Souvenirs Crossbody | Tuk Tuk Pouch Bag
Of course! I may be biased since I work for this brand, but honestly I’ve never known handbags like them. And technically if you buy from them, you’re keeping me out of homelessness… soooo… I’ll judge you if you don’t haha! But in all seriousness, we have a new collection out at the moment and quite frankly they are some of the best lines we’ve ever done, if you like bright colours, this season is perfect for you.
Revival Retro

I love Revival Retro, and it’s clearly the greatest vintage style store you can find in the country. Not only is the store itself gorgeous, but the level of service you get is something else entirely — honestly, I recommend going to their Fitzrovia store any time of the year! They stock a range of brands and sizes, but also have their own range (up to a UK20) of clothes that are beautiful. Also the owner, Rowena, is the maddest fish in the pond and I adore that woman with my whole heart.
Bow and Crossbones

Dolly Music Necklace | Rowena Parrot Earrings | Polly Parrot Necklace
I saw all the new stuff from Bow and Crossbones at London Edge, and I loved everything — but the music note range and the parrots were super exciting! I mean, guys, parrots. You can’t go wrong with parrots right? And they have such great products in general, I’ve got a lot of their stuff from across the years and it’s still going well years on!
Retro Peaches

Daphne Dress | Luau Top & Luau Skirt | Molly Dress
I love Retro Peaches, a one-woman business from Canada (so if you do buy, there may be some delays) who makes the most beautiful and comfortable clothes. Her Molly Dress is one of my favourite dresses in my wardrobe. Also, everything is stretch without zips, so it’s perfect for less-able people!
Punky Pins

Stay Out Of The Forest Pin | Empowered Women Empower Women Patch
Feminism Is For Everyone Pin
We all know that I love pins. I’ve mentioned it many times before, and I always mention Punky Pins, who I have a lot of love and admiration for. They also have My Favourite Murder pins, which makes me so happy I could cry, honestly.
Snag Tights

Chub Rub Shorts | Merino Wool Tights | 80 Denier Tights
We’re all familiar with Snag Tights after so many posts I’ve done about them, right? They’re a company I love to it’s core, and one that deserve every applaud and frankly all your money. Because they really are tights that fit, and that’s saying something!
Luxulite

Spring Carrots | You Are My Lobster Bow | Corn Cobs
Do I ever have to explain my love for Luxulite? Do I? Honestly, if you don’t own a piece by her now then what are you waiting for?
Grump

Snake Skirt | Splodge Smock Dress | Feeling Grumpy Smock Dress
Grump is a really cute inclusive brand that hand makes the sweetest designs. Up to a size AUS30 (UK24), they make happy dresses, tops and skirts that really brighten up your day.
Let’s Support Small Businesses!
There’s so many to mention, like Bekbek Makes, Honeybuns Bakery, Gorydorky, Emmy Designs, Kimchi and Coconut, Miss Candyfloss, La Vidriola, Lady K Loves… Honestly, the list is never ending.
So if possible, support these small businesses as much as you can — be it with sales, with sharing, with following — whatever you can do! And let me know your favourites and ones I’ve definitely missed out in the comments!
