Let’s talk about HANDBAGS!
Hello friends! How are we doing at the moment? Enjoying the start of Autumn at all? My life is honestly working and kitten rearing and nothing else, so I can’t say I’m doing much at the moment. However, on the subject of work, it’s been a while since I showed off some Vendula products — so why not show you my favourites from the Vendula London AW21 Collection?
Before we get to the beautiful handbags — I obviously work for Vendula London. It’s in my Disclaimer, even! I actually took these photos in our studio, in front of our little archive wall (gotta brand those photos!) of bags of Vendula past. I don’t think a single one of them is available any more, please don’t message me, haha!

House of Jazz Grab Bag
I love a black handbag. I love a black handbag with red accents. A black handbag with red accents AND cats playing instruments? You know I’m down with this 100%. And the really cool thing about the Vendula London AW21 Collection is that the doors you see on the larger bags? They all open!
This is the Grab Bag style, back with the clasp that makes it super easy to use one-handed; I liked the zipped versions we’ve had for a few seasons, but this is my personal favourite. When I first started working for Vendula, the fact that the Grab Bag handle comes off so you can use the crossbody strap really blew my mind, so it’s always worth mentioning!

Animal Park Ostrich Tote Bag
Last season we had Animal Park with Flamingoes and Giraffes; but this season is Ostriches and Lemurs! As good as Larry the Lemur is, something about Ola the Ostrich really resonates with me. This tote is super cute and is a lot bigger than you’d imagine! And with a removable pouch on the inside, perfect for a day-to-day bag.

Highland Fling Tote Bag
Okay, this is actually my second favourite in the Highland Fling range. My favourite was the Nessie shaped bag, but it was also our customers favourite and sold out! But the Tote Bag is a good second place — tartan! Stag! Flowers! And some red! Honestly, the whole range is super cute, I just really like that this is a fairly simple bag that is still decorative and beautiful.

Bistro De Vendula Square Crossbody Bag
I’ll be honest — this was not my favourite range of the season. But after six months of staring at it to prep for socials, (yes, I know what we’re doing up to a year in advance and no I won’t tell you what’s coming, haha!) it’s definitely grown on me! This photo doesn’t show it off well, but the base is a beautiful light gold colour that honestly looks good with anything, and I really like the laser-cut awning on it. And poodles. There’s a lot of poodles on this and it’s adorable.
The Square Crossbody is a newer style for us, and as I’ve gotten older and my style has changed a bit, I really like more hands free styles. This is the lightest, most flexible shopfront bag we do, so it’ll be great for people that struggle with the weight of some of the fancier bags we make!

Heritage Georgian Floral Shopper
Do you see those handles? They’re super long, which means it’s perfect for fat arms! That’s right, I get to tell the design team to think of the fatties when we design products. This shopper style in particular is also designed with coat-wearing in mind, so there’s a whole bunch of room. I think this is a super pretty bag, structured enough but still flexible, a bit understated in design for us, but still visually interesting. It’s got a whole romantic feel that I really like.

Library Bookworm Backpack
Am I Bookworm? Honestly no, I’m horrendous at finishing books as an adult because I most likely have ADHD and either I read a novel in one go or read a chapter and never revisit it. Do I still love this Bookworm Backpack? Absolutely! The marble print is cute, the cat studs are cuter and this is an ideal size backpack to use daily. If I wasn’t already using an Easy Going bag for work, I’d probably be using this one!

Fortune Teller Charlotte Bag
Okay. I photographed this horrendously, because it’s a lot more purple in person! This is a really exciting design to see us do, honestly. A little bit witchy, very purple and some lurex, which is always nice to see in modern items.

Zodiac Gemini Pouch
The Zodiac range is a bit close to my heart, since I did the creative direction for the website images, including painting that night sky background! I’m also a sucker for black glitter and a little bit of astrology. There’s a pouch and matching mirror key charm for every zodiac sign (apart from ophiuchus, because fuck that particular sign for suddenly popping up) and I think that’ll be a great present bundle for people’s birthdays!
Obviously as a newly-crowned Crazy Black Cat Lady, I’m super excited that my star sign is two black kitties!

Vendula Ghoulevard Book Bag
This is a super fresh bag that I’m straight up obsessed with! From the BRAND NEW Vendula Ghoulevard range — this Book Bag is 1. red 2. spooky 3. just super cute. I do love the Haunted House designs as well of course, but the Grace bag literally sold out in a matter of hours so I couldn’t post that photo, haha! I can’t wait for mine to arrive at home, honestly, I’ll be using it all the time!
