Happy Rainy Sunday, folks!
Hope we’re all good this week? The weather has changed dramatically over the last two weeks. (Honestly, weren’t we just sweating our arses off?). So now it’s cold and rainy again. Boo! But I’m in high spirits — I’m welcoming the longer nights, cosy evenings and watching the rain from my sofa more and more as I get older. I certainly do miss the summer clothes I didn’t wear this year due to… well *gestures at the whole world*. However, you can’t beat a cosy outfit, right? And today we’re going for some alternative style to show off a new Vendula London Apothecary bag!

In case you never pay attention, I work for Vendula London — which is why you see their bags in a lot of my posts. I think I have just under 40 handbags of theirs from my four years working there! Oooops. The Fiancé® has given up telling me I don’t need more handbags — it’s got to that bad, haha. I genuinely just love the bags and the brand, though! For the boring stuff in regards to opinions etcetera, you can read the Disclaimer. TLDR; I work for this brand, I receive items because I work for them, not to blog about, so I don’t get paid to recommend them. Blahblah.
Anyway! There’s a new collection out, since it’s AW20 now, and the designs are absolutely AMAZING this season. I’ve been waiting a year to get my hands on some of these pieces, and I also know you guys will love them too. Head over to the Website to check out the full range!

A Bag To Match Alternative Styles
I was most excited to get the Apothecary range in stock, honestly. It’s the closest thing to a goth range we’ve ever done! (I tried to get them to design a cemetery but the designers weren’t having it at all — I’m trying, guys!) My style is splitting in two different directions these days, and I’m wearing more alternative or ‘grown up emo’ outfits. So having something that could work with more of the alternative side of me than the cuter vintage side was ideal.

So let’s talk about the backpack for a bit, right? I actually wrote a post a while back (2018?) listing out the different ways to wear the Shop Front Backpacks. So I won’t bore you with a second version of it just yet! Just know that it’s a bag that can be worn four different ways, and comes in almost every range you can find on the website. I love the versatility of this style, even if I most wear it as a backpack for a hands-free life!
Vendula London Apothecary Backpack
The Vendula London Apothecary design alone is genuinely beautiful, and a little magical! Inspired by old school medicine merchants with a hint of curiosity shop detailing. The Victorian-style windows are even made with a clear overlay so it looks like an actual window! With the addition of bird cages, cauldrons, potions and elixirs throughout, it’s got a great witchy vibe to it, too.

To be completely honest with you, I’m still not 100% on the colour of the bag itself, but that’s just personal preference. It’s somewhere between a grey and almost a khaki? Not a colour I’d usually go for, but you can’t deny that against an all-black outfit like this, it looks great! It’s definitely a statement that works so well in wintery outfits. Also great in witchy coords for perfect Halloween-inspired style!

What do we think, guys? Will you be brewing up potions with the Apothecary range?
I’d love to hear your thoughts in the comments, as always!
