It’s Wednesday, and I’m here to remind you what day it is and to tell you to brush your teeth. I know you’ve forgotten to do it since the weekend, it’s okay — no judgement here. But I digress!! Today’s Wednesday Wishlist post is a little different than just what I like. We’re talking all about supporting small businesses from now on — and we start with vintage style clothing!
As a furloughed worker, sadly I can’t put my money where my mouth is and support small businesses at this time. But what I CAN do is let you guys know of some amazing brands you can still buy from, or will be able to buy from soon. If you’re able to support any of these brands, please do! They’re all wonderful human beings either making things by hand or working hard on ethical and fair trade vintage style clothing for all to enjoy.
Vintage Style Clothing by Small Businesses
Lady K Loves
Sizes UK8-18. Operating as usual.
Lady K Loves is a brand (and a person) I have a LOT of love for. Ethical, plastic-free and completely made with the customer in mind. It’s practically a one-woman business that creates SOMETHING. They’re best known for their jeans, which come with rave reviews — Literally, friends of mine adore the Hug Me Baby’s! But they also have a wonderful range of tops, skirts and trousers made in an ethical factory in India. You can read more on their ethics here.
Currently Lady K Loves goes up to an XXL, which is a UK18. I’ve had incredible chats with Lady K herself, and she’d love to add other sizes. But everything she does is with so much research and love that things just take a bit longer. So keep an eye out for plus sizes in the future!

Revival Retro
Sizes 6-18 for most, up to 22 for some. Orders are shipped out weekly.
I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again — Revival Retro is the pillar of the vintage/pinup scene in London. It serves as not only London’s most beautiful shop, but also a community base with regular events and meet-ups. Their new collection is beautifully summery, made with certified organic cottons, made with specific body types in mind. Brighton is for you busty gals, and Blackpool for us with all the hips! And both the Notting Hill dress and skirt go up to a UK22 which is incredibly good news!
Revival Retro Crowdfunding Page
Revival Retro is also currently in danger thanks to the government’s small business funding not helping this incredible place. And so the Revival team are currently holding a crowdfunding page to support them in this difficult time.
Please — if you can spare a fiver, a tenner or even fancy buying a voucher for later use — please do so now.
Miss Fortune
I loooove Miss Fortune’s stuff. I only own one jumper of hers at the moment, but my god do I love it (which reminds me, now the weather is better it’s time to bring it out again!) and frankly the other designs she has are all just awesome. And when she goes for a Pake Muu, lord help me! It’s literally the best thing.
Since Miss Fortune has her own studio she’s still able to send out around the world, which is great news. She has mentioned that due to the C-word her new collection is running late, but if you look at her Instagram post on it, you’ll see it’s worth a wait.
Love Ur Look
Sizes XS-5XL in all, up to 6XL in some. Operating as usual.
Love Ur Look is a brand I’ve been following for years now, and every time I see a LUL piece, I’m honestly just in awe. The prints are just gorgeous, mostly unique to them and perfectly reproduced vintage styles. But they also have another part of their business — which is all about purchasing surplus fabrics to upcycle! Such an ingenious way to create beautiful clothing without creating vast amounts of fabric waste.
Their ethical and sustainability information can be found on their website. But another thing I adore about this brand is that they consistently use models of colour, size and age. It’s the one brand I can always count on at shows to have inclusivity in their branding and their sizing.
Miss Else Vintage
Sizes UK12-30 in most items. Operating as usual.
Have you heard of Miss Else Vintage? Honestly, I hadn’t until London Edge earlier in the year. And I honestly nearly cried when I saw their booth. Truly plus-sized clothing from a plus-sized business owner. And it included the most incredible things, such as 30’s and 40’s inspired blouses and dresses. And SHORTS. Guys, plus sized shorts with a decent rise, I could have cried.
Miss Else’s told me that a new website and a new collection are coming out soon, so keep an eye out on her Instagram to keep up to date!
