Shoes, Shoes. Shoes. Oh My God. Shoes.
Let’s party! Okay, now that’s out of my system and early 2000s kids worldwide have the song stuck in their head, it’s time to talk shoes! Today we’re not talking about impracticality because this post is all about beautiful comfortable shoes from none other than Ruby Shoo!

Personally, I have a large collection of shoes. Most of them that I can’t wear and/or wear only for photos. The rest of them are sandals. Honestly, I mostly have a collection of summer shoes in a country that rarely sees sun. Hooray.
To be fair, I’ve always found it hard to find shoes that work with a vintage style that aren’t either horrendously uncomfortable, come in fabrics that are useless in the rain or just don’t fit. Until today, of course!
Okay, so I’ve known about Ruby Shoo for a long time. Most people have, right? I was pretty excited to work with them on this post, especially since I’m trying to get back into wearing my vintage gear more, it came at the most perfect time! The Autumn Winter collection is full of the most gorgeous items, but of course I went for the Mabel. Because red.
I took the UK8/EU41 since I’m more of a wide-fit 7, and they fit really well with little extra room in the toes. They’re good for normal-width feet I’d say, with wider feet sizing up.
Now let me tell you guys. These are the most comfortable heels I’ve ever owned. Especially after this year, where my shoe of choice is a slipper. These poor feet of mine have been having difficulty wearing heels again!
However, the Ruby Shoo Mabel’s heel isn’t too high. But they do give a nice lift to the leg without putting crazy strain on the ball of your foot. And the bar strap sits literally at the perfect part of your foot where you’re basically strapped into them. Frankly, I love that.
But my god. The most iconic part of a pair of Ruby Shoo is just how comfortable those insocks are, and they’re literally like wearing a cloud. The Mabel’s are part of Ruby Shoo’s Indulgence line, which has a ridiculous amount of comfort to help you wear heels all day! Comfort. Is that word starting to lose sense to you too, or is it just because I need to stop using it? Hmm.
Have you heard of Ruby Shoo before? Own any pairs yourself?
