Well, May and the beginning of June was a bit of a write-off. I mentioned briefly in my last Instagram post about how badly I was suffering with my mental health the last month. With work being difficult and my mind not being great, I haven’t really worked on the blog much. However, I’m going to get back into the swing of things from next week. Some good content is coming up for you soon! For now, the last of the amazing shoot I did with Florence Carousel Photography!

So. Things have been a busy on my front, I was taking on more responsibility at my day job, working freelance on top of that, plus trying to maintain a social life. It’s been a bit hectic! My severe exhaustion isn’t helping the matter, so I’ve basically been tired and crying non-stop for a month. It’s been weeks since I last shot a look, or since I put up anything of worth on this blog.
Luckily for me, I finally switched medication, and I’m currently on a new streak of a whole week without crying. It doesn’t sound like so much of a big deal until you realise I’ve cried at least once every day for roughly two months. Yikes.

But now I’m feeling SO much better! There’s a little light at the end of the tunnel, thank god. All I can say is – be honest with yourself and others if you’re suffering. And please never feel that getting help, in any form, is failure. For me, medication helps, as well as trying to carve out time for creativity and not giving myself a hard time for spending a few days only cuddling up in bed with my boyfriend. It might not be the same for you, and that’s okay – but love yourself enough to find what helps you. You’re worth that.

A slightly more vain mechanism is photos like these. I love Florence and her photography, and the way she captures me is just gorgeous. And sometimes when your brain is telling you that you’re not good enough, thin enough or successful enough, looking at photos of you being a badass is just wonderful. My body positivity towards myself has wavered over the last few months, so it’s a welcomed change, that’s for sure!
These are actually my absolute favourite shots from the whole of the shoot I did with Florence Carousel Photography – the others you can see here and here.

I honestly felt like the badass Disney Princess of my dreams here. Florence specifically asked for me to wear my faux-leather jacket for this shoot, as we were shooting in the cherry blossoms. And how good does it look? It’s an old Primark one, and honestly the best £10 I’ve ever spent!

I LOVE YOU
She truly does capture your beauty, well, beautifully! I am so glad that the photos help – and that you can admire them as much as everyone who seems them on your blog. I hope you continue to head in the right direction. Kx
Oh, thank you SO much! That’s so incredibly kind of you <3
