I don’t care what the shops say. It’s quite not spring yet. Or at least the spring/summer sort of spring they think it is. It’s been raining a lot in the country this week, it’s still cold, and the blue skies of last week seem a distant memory honestly! This time of year is so awkward for dressing. The shops/sites we look at are constantly pushing spring/summer vibes, however, it’s currently pissing it down with rain and it’s gone back to the single digits in temperature.
I’ve been spending a lot of time looking at and pining for jewellery recently. I’ve become a little bored with my current collection — which isn’t exactly small! — so I’m looking for pretty new things to wear all year around. Safe to say that the music notes sort of has my name on it, right?
Charlie Stone is fast becoming the most talked about shoe brand in the vintage scene! They’re relatively new, and they only have a few stockists in the UK at the moment, but their vintage-styled flats will be incredibly popular this summer. And they even have a vegan range! Personally, the idea of the real leather sounds best to me (I need the stretch), but I love that there is options.
Okay first off, OVERALLS. I doubt they’d work for me, honestly, but I love that overalls exist in larger sizes. It makes me really happy. I love Voodoo Vixen, and I also love how these items can be styled for spring/summer AND autumn/winter. Bare legs or thick tights work so well, and the skirt and dress have a lot of colours to pick out for colourful tights options!
Oh Rubylea, will I ever stop loving you? No. No I will not. I’m still wearing my Rosie and Carmen turbans on a regular basis, but I’m trying to decide what colours and styles to take through to spring. Maybe the Bow Turban in black jersey? What about you?
I’m trying to get used to wearing heels more recently. Flats are starting to ruin my feet, but finding small, pretty, comfortable heels is a nightmare. Luckily for me, Hotter does some gorgeous little vintage-inspired heels! The Donna heels are the most popular, but I do reckon I need those red Viviene’s!
Last but never least — Joanie Clothing’s New In always has me excited regardless of weather. I adore the Pankhurst tee, which raises money for women’s charity, and the Deborah jumper is simply incredible. I wish it wasn’t orange, because that would be on my body for weeks.
What are you craving for this week? Getting ready for summer or still looking for winter warmers?
