I’ve always found Valentine’s Day to be a useless holiday, even when I was in a relationship. It’s just a bit of a ridiculous idea of a holiday where people in relationships feel pressure to prove their love, and single people feel bad. I ain’t down for that. But you know what I am down for? Wednesday Wishlist with a pin up Valentines Day style spin! Because hearts are cute. Don’t judge me for being fickle.
Luxulite does it again! I don’t know many brands that do themed accessories like Luxulite, but all her designs this year are winners!
I am OBSESSED with this Hell Bunny print. Okay, so maybe it’s not exactly hearts and Valentine’s all over the place! But it is pink and black with roses on, which is a theme in itself! That dress is so perfect for all year round, too!
I’m totally on the whole pin game thing, and I love Bobby Pins Co right now! Her Valentine’s collection includes the perfect “I Loathe You” Chocolate Box Pin in red and pink, and I love her bondage-themes pins for an alternative twist on usual Valentine’s sweetness.
It’s not Valentine’s unless we mention lingerie, right? I’m not 100% on the typical stereotype of lingerie for women to wear for men. However, I love lingerie, and I love Playful Promises. And this Valentine’s they’re running a campaign to raise money for Target Ovarian Cancer. They’ve only got the Marlene and Love sets in curve sizes in the campaign, but it’s a worthy cause.
Since we’re on the subject of campaigns for worthy causes, I had to mention Micheline Pitt’s #VIXENNOTAVICTIM campaign. The shirts are currently available for pre-order, but will raise money and awareness for RAINN, an anti-sexual violence charity in The States. Although I haven’t shared my particular dealings with sexual assault on this blog, it’s something I really want to support. There are many charities and organisations to help people who have gone through this in the UK, if you’d prefer to support a UK-based organisation instead.
So darlings – what’s on your wishlist for some perfect pin up Valentines day style?
